Is Overwatch Dying in 2020?

Is Overwatch dying?

Over the past year or so, fans of the series are worried about their favorite game. But is Overwatch dying? A very interesting question that attracts every fan. Should they wait for the release of the second part, or for now should not say goodbye to the first part?

Initially, Overwatch has about 50 million regular players. This is impressive, but a still deceptive amount. It is important to understand that this is not the number of players themselves, but the number of people who have bought the game since its release. I also observe that this number includes purchases on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

This figure only indicates the number of funds that Blizzard earned by overwatch. All signs indicate that the game is becoming outdated. Overwatch was released in 2015, and everyone who wants to play it has already done it. The environment has become boring, and the players want something new. This is normal. I am not here to criticize the game and draw conclusions from this.

The game is very popular and has a very loyal hardcore base of players. But the popularity of the game is decreasing over time. Blizzard devotes little time to the development of Overwatch. They actually do not communicate with players and do not update the game itself. Boring Meta, rare stability modifications and insignificant updates – all these problems are teeming with Overwatch. Now, of course, Blizzard is finally promising to become proactive. But one must ask: is it not too late?
